Meatloaf with cheese and smoked sausage



A nostalgic dish for Soviet times can be called a meatloaf with cheese , since at that time there was a terrible shortage of food, so the hostesses made meatloafs instead of sausage, which was difficult to get. At present, when the quality of our products leaves much to be desired, continuous additives and not a single gram of meat, such a dish again acquires its relevance. No chemicals are added there, in the form of flavor enhancers and others. We have improved this recipe a little. Smoked sausage will give it an unusual taste. The following ingredients are required for cooking: • 600 g lean ground beef • 340 g of smoked sausage, you can take a smaller one, but then increase the minced meat • 1 egg • 220 g ketchup • 60 g bread crumbs • one fourth teaspoon of pepper • 220 g of grated cheese, preferably of various varieties • spinach leaves Cooking method: 1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. 2. In a large bowl, mix the minced meat, sausage, egg, half of the ketchup, bread crumbs and pepper together. 3. Spread the meat mixture on the foil and form a rectangle out of it. 4. Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the meat rectangle. Then chopped spinach and roll it up with foil. Spread seam side down in a baking dish. 5. Bake in the oven for one hour. 6. Then spread the remaining ketchup on top and bake for another 15 minutes. 7. Allow to cool for 5 or 10 minutes before serving.
